Summer Day Camp 2012
Camp will run from Thursday, June 28th – Friday, August 17th. Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm. All Counselors must commit to working the full 7.5 week camp.
The following summer positions are available:
Head Counselors are responsible for managing 2-3 General Counselors and 18 – 21 campers. Head Counselors manage their team of counselors, interact on a daily basis with parents and care givers, develop a strong connection with their assigned campers, accompany their groups on field trips, problem solve and most importantly, ensure that campers are safe, engaged and having fun.
General Counselors oversee groups of 18-21 campers escorting the children to and from activities including basketball, baseball, martial arts, soccer, yoga, culinary arts and visual arts. They also accompany the campers on weekly field trips. General Counselors operate as a team and ensure that the campers are safe, engaged and having fun. General Counselors must be 18 years of age or older.
Asphalt Green offers a Counselors in Training (CIT) program for teens ages 14 and 15. The program runs for 4 weeks with two sessions available: June 28th – July 20th and July 23rd – August 17th. CITs learn what it is like to work at a day camp through group activities, small group discussions and on the job training. Please note that this is a fee-based program. **NOTE: There will be a required weekend training session prior to the start of camp. Date to be determined.

Sports Coaches
We are currently looking for experienced and energetic coaches for several programs to be run at Battery Park City. Note that experience teaching sports to very young children is a requirement. The programs and schedules are as follows:
Basketball:
- Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 3 – 7pm
- Sundays between 11am – 2pm
Pay Rate is $18-20/hr.
Soccer:
- Tuesdays between 3:30 – 8pm
- Thursdays between 3:30 – 5pm
Pay Rate is $18-20/hr.
Volleyball:
- Fridays between 6:30 – 8:30pm
Pay Rate is $18-20/hr. $30 for private instruction.
Gymnastics:
- Mondays between 10am – 3pm
- Tuesdays between 9am – 12pm
- Wednesdays between 1 – 3:30pm
- Thursdays between 9am – 12pm
- Fridays between 10am – 2pm
- Saturdays between 9 – 11am
Pay Rate is $18-22/hr.

Swim Camp Instructors
We are currently looking to hire experienced and energetic Swim Instructors for our swim camp. Asphalt Green Battery Park City's Swim Camps are designed for swimmers ages 7–14. Camp runs Monday - Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm, July 9th- August 17th. (See AGBPC Swim Camps for more information)
*COACHES/INSTRUCTORS MUST COMMIT TO THE ENTIRE CAMP.
Qualified candidates must hold current and active certifications in CPR, AED, Lifeguard and First Aid. ASCA and WSI a plus.

Lifeguards
Summer 2012
We will be looking to hire Lifeguards for all shifts this summer for our brand new Asphalt Green Battery Park City campus. General information on the position follows:
Appropriate candidates must hold current and active certifications in CPR, AED, Lifeguard, First Aid.
- Weekday shifts begin at 5:15 a.m. and end at 10:30 p.m.
- Weekend shifts begin at 6:00 a.m. and end at 8:15 p.m.
Lifeguard training will begin on-site training mid-June.

Babysitter (Part Time)
Battery Park City
We are looking for energetic, warm and caring individuals who can work either weekdays (9:00 - 3:00) and/ or weekends (9:00 - 2:00) watching over a maximum of 24 children between the ages of 6 months to 6 years. We provide the toys and an appropriate setting, you provide the oversight, engagement and fun.
Qualified candidates will be 21 years of age or older with very strong communication skills, energy, commitment and maturity. Must be CPR/AED certified.
